Why Rapid Model?
Rapid Model ensured tight tolerance machining for complex die-cast parts, providing excellent dimensional accuracy and consistent quality across batches.

AutoMech Systems already had long-term suppliers before approaching us. In order to reduce project costs, they contacted several manufacturers for quotations, but none met their expectations. By chance, AutoMech discovered Rapid Model and reached out for a quote. We offered them a factory-direct price while fully meeting the tolerance and product requirements specified in their drawings. After technical confirmation, we officially began our cooperation — AutoMech placed an order for 40 customized aluminum die-cast components. Why could Rapid Model provide competitive pricing without compromising quality? Because Rapid Model was a factory before becoming a trading company, whereas most competitors established a trading company first and later built or partnered with factories. This structure allows us to control both cost and quality directly. We completed and delivered all aluminum die-cast parts within five working days, fully meeting AutoMech’s standards. They were highly satisfied with the results and immediately initiated plans for the next project with us.

The main challenge came from machining thin-walled features and complex internal channels formed during casting. These areas required secondary milling operations to achieve the desired flatness and concentricity while preventing deformation.

To ensure dimensional stability, Rapid Model applied specialized fixturing and multi-axis CNC machining to process each component, maintaining a tolerance of ±0.01 mm on critical mounting points. Threaded holes, sealing faces, and precision bores were inspected 100% before shipment.

Each part underwent anodizing and powder coating to enhance corrosion resistance and improve appearance, ensuring long-term durability under high-temperature and vibration conditions.

From the initial quotation to final delivery, Rapid Model completed production and surface finishing within ten working days. Our team worked closely with AutoMech engineers to optimize the die-cast machining sequence, minimizing tool wear and improving efficiency.
The successful delivery of these aluminum die-cast components allowed AutoMech to proceed with their performance testing phase on schedule. Rapid Model now continues to provide ongoing low-volume manufacturing support for their upcoming automotive projects.
