    Based on customer drawings or functional requirements, a machinable 3D model is created. Dimensions, tolerances, material properties, and surface finishing requirements are clearly defined. The structural feasibility is evaluated, and potential machining challenges are anticipated to provide optimization guidance for subsequent programming.

  • Programming
    Programming

    Cutting tools and machining parameters are selected based on material hardness and dynamic considerations. Toolpath trajectories are designed and simulated using software to verify collision risks. Finally, machine-readable machining instructions are generated.

  • Workholding and Tool Setting
    Workholding and Tool Setting

    Vises, vacuum fixtures, or custom jigs are used to ensure rigid workholding. A workpiece coordinate system is established using an edge finder. Tool length and radius compensation values are measured with a tool setter to achieve precise positioning and calibration.

  • Machining Execution
    Machining Execution

    Cutting conditions are monitored in real time, and coolant flow is adjusted to control temperature. For multi-process machining, re-clamping accuracy is verified. Key dimensions are spot-checked during production to prevent batch deviations.

  • Inspection and Post-Processing
    Inspection and Post-Processing

    A coordinate measuring machine (CMM) scans all dimensions and compares them with the CAD model to detect deviations. A surface roughness tester measures Ra values. Final polishing and functional treatments are performed to ensure the finished part meets all standards.
